Garnet as a natural abrasive can be used for waterjet cutting to cut tough materials because of its high hardness, efficient cutting speed and more smooth cutting surface.
A steady flow of garnet abrasives to the focusing tube that is free from blockages allows uninterrupted production without downtime resulting in optimum efficiency and lowest production costs.
High quality alluvial garnet does not contain any fracture lines that weaken the inherent garnet grain after crushed. Especially in equipment wear and tear, the damage of cutting head nozzle and focusing tube are also reduced. This translates to direct cost-savings and longer service life.

Application
Sandblasting
Garnet abrasive sand is in the most potential and widely used abrasive field, because it is used in the industries that are closely related to the production, such as ship hull, bridges, pipes, steel structures sandblasting treatment can choose garnet 20/40 mesh; steel structure, machinery and instruments can use mesh 30/60 garnet.
Its hardness can reach 8 mohs with long service life, can be cleaned on the metal surface to produce ideal angular rough surface, increase the surface area of the metal, improve the bonding force of the interface, so that the adhesion of the corrosion protection coating and the metal surface is significantly enhanced, so as to improve the bonding performance of the coating and the metal surface.
Waterjet Cutting
Garnet as a natural abrasive can be used for waterjet cutting because of its high hardness, high cutting speed. It is a cost-effective alternative to silica sand, mineral slags and steel grits and shot as the perfect symbiosis of grain size, density and durability creates the optimum abrasive efficiency, lowest abrasive consumption (kg/m2) at the highest production rates (m2/hr).
Each batch of goods has passed strict QC testing and particle size analysis. This ensures that there are less dust and no big ineffective grains that can restrict garnet free flow, because oversized grains may create a blockage in the focusing tube.
Water Filter Media
As a filter medium, garnet filter material is used in various fields of water treatment, especially as the bottom medium of the filter bed. It has a large proportion and is not easy to mix the layers during backwashing. When the sewage treatment tank/tank overflows, garnet filter material will hardly flow out.
It has the characteristics of good filtration effect, long service life, almost insoluble in acid and alkali, and convenient use. It is widely used as high-density filter material (heavy media filter material) in the field of sewage treatment, and is a high-efficiency and long-life water treatment filter material.
